Process for Selecting Materials Committee met in the spring to review current materials. Samples were obtained to make pilot decisions. Meeting with reps yeilded two choices to pilot. Elementary committee decided on two programs Harcourt and Scott Foresman/Pearson

Scott Foresman/Pearson Strengths Online student text’s, workbooks and teacher manuals and resources. Text has “read aloud” audio feature. K-2 Big Books option Choice in selections of Big Books Written on level with “kid friendly illustrations” Strong visuals to preview content with in-depth vocabulary development in textbook.

Timeline for Pilot Materials Materials will be obtained by the beginning of October and be piloted until mid November. Ongoing discussion will be utilized across the elementary grade levels to assure communication. Recommendation will be made by January.
