5 Statistical developments Further development required for statistical frameworks on social and environmental dimensions –Public sector innovation is an example of work progressing in this area

6 Statistical developments Challenges include: –Measuring effort & impact; –Definitions, mappings and relationships; –Public sector innovation –Integration as part of broader social, economic and environmental statistics –Exploiting the full potential of existing data –Supporting key research & analytical questions (e.g. integrated collections)

7 Coordination issues? There is a lot of activity in this field –International groups & committees –Localised activity across countries What can we do better to harvest the fruits of these efforts? –Avoid reinventing the wheel … or inventing different wheels …
