Email Etiquette Use for business purposes Do not become dependent on this as your only means to communicate Do not let your emotions over-rule your head. Do not write anything that you would not want known to the public Keep emails short and to the point Scan all messages before replying

Email Etiquette Begin with people’s names and end with an appropriate salutation Use common courtesy Do not send emails repeatedly if you do not get an immediate reply Ask friends about their company’s policies on emails

Voice Mail Say your name and contact information slowly. It is best to repeat it at the beginning and end of your voice mail Think about what you will say to avoid leaving a long rambling voice mail Easily conveys vocal nuances Avoid leaving numerous messages that say the same thing If you are going to be out of the office for more than 24 hours leave an explanation and when you expect to return Avoid leaving humorous or cute greetings.
