3 Introduction to Wildlife Biology Aldo Leopold was one of the pioneers of wildlife management as a profession 1930’s - Wildlife Biology emerged as a distinct profession as a result of Leopold’s work

4 Wildlife Biology and Conservation Pioneers Aldo Leopold and his associate Herbert Stoddard, who had both been trained in scientific forestry, argued that modern science and technology could be used to restore and improve wildlife habitat and thus produce abundant "crops" of ducks, deer, and other valued wild animals.
