3. REASONS FOR POVERTY Sudan has been torn apart by 17 years of civil wars. The two wars were caused by religous division and military unrest. South Sudan broke up from Sudan following a referendum in January 2011. Famine is also a big part of Sudans poverty with many malnourished people in Sudan.

4. WHAT IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT Concern is one of the main charities working in Sudan providing food,water and shelter and other essential needs. Concern has been helping people in Sudan since 2004 helping people in war torn regions.

5. EFFECTS OF POVERTY. Poverty has caused widespread devastation such as starvation,death and drought. War in Sudan(Picture below)

6. WHAT WE CAN DO We can help Sudan and other countries suffering from poverty by making a donation. We can also volunteer for a charity and go to a suffering country.
