COME UNTO ME (Jesus) 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” ( Matthew 11:28-30 ) 20151115How Can It Be?/Rev. COME UNTO ME (Jesus) (John…) to ask him, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” (Jesus said,) “Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me… To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others: ‘We played the pipe for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.’” Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. ( Matthew 11:3, 6, 16-17, 20 ) 20151115How Can It Be?/Rev. Andy Ching7

How Can It Be? 25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. 27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. (Matthew 11:25-27) 20151115How Can It Be?/Rev. Andy Ching8

20151115How Can It Be?/Rev. Andy Ching11 The income tax I pay means I made some money this year. These clothes that are now fitting a little tighter, means I had more than enough to eat. That yard that needed mowing, the flowers that needed water and the house repairs I made is proof that I have a home to live in. This heating bill means I have heat to keep warm.

That alarms that goes off - means I have a place of importance to be at. These sore muscles, means I had a productive day.

FACEBOOK Each family has different admirable values to teach their children. Ours is that birthday is time for thanksgiving & remembering the under-privileged. Every birthday we donate the $ to be spent on party & gifts to a charity of our child's choice. They don't get any birthday party till age 6 (i.e. kindergarten), and then once every other 4 yrs. Through such, they learn to give & share, while our culture overwhelmingly motivates them mostly to be self-centered, taking things for granted, unappreciative & never satisfied. This weekend while we celebrate Charis' birthday, we'll add one more page to this shown journal of their giving journey over the years. If you have other good & creative ways to achieve the similar, we'll be happy to adopt as well. — Andrew Au with Fina Cheung 20151115How Can It Be?/Rev. Andy Ching14

20151115How Can It Be?/Rev. Andy Ching17 It is easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings. ~ Author Unknown
