1 THREE DICTIONARIES FULL OWNERSHIP—Words you know and can use at will MIDRANGE—Words you have less comfort with. You probably don’t use it yourself when speaking or writing, but you can infer its meaning from context clues. LOW RANGE—New vocabulary. You are vaguely familiar with the word or have not ever heard of it before. Directions: Label the vocabulary words as F, M or L

2 Vocabulary practice: due by the end of the period tomorrow Today 1. Work on vocabulary practice 2. You may work alone or with a partner. Tomorrow Silent work period Vocabulary practice (individual work) Reading— Lord of the Flies or Friday reading book

3 Vocabulary Practice Write a paragraph in which you use the 15 words you chose to learn. You should adjust the word form so that it fits the sentence grammatically. Use each word in a way that shows an accurate understanding of its meaning. Avoid vague sentences. Highlight or underline each vocabulary word.
