Who we are, what we can do for you
2
Agenda Metronor – the company The technology and how the systems work
3
Brief background Develop, supply & support portable measurement systems for geometry Industry & military 25 years in business 600+ systems
4
Brief Background All Metronor technology is developed in-house, in Norway Based on photogrammetry and electro-optics ISO9001:2008 registered Multiple international patents & inventions
6
Metronor Products Characteristics and Capabilities
7
Characteristics & Capabilities Probing System No moving parts to wear out or decrease accuracy over time Rigid and built to last in rough working environments Measures hidden features not in view of the camera
8
All Systems Include Fully solid-state digital camera – no moving parts (stability, reliability) Measurement probe (can be different sizes) with embedded light sources Laptop computer with Metronor software plus analysis software
9
Technology Concept The fixed pattern of light sources (LEDs) on the probe is known beforehand The camera observes probe position and orientation Probing direction is defined, allowing measurements in any 3D orientation in the space visible to camera
10
Military: Boresighting & Alignment Aircraft ground support equipment (AGE) Alignment of navigation and weapon systems Fully qualified to MIL-STD- 810, MIL-STD-461 Common technology and components with industrial systems 43 systems since 2006 24 users to date Hawk AJT F-16 F-35 T/F/A-50 Gripen Eurofighter ASTA
11
Medical: Surgical Guidance Assist surgeons in placing e.g. implants correctly Important e.g. for hip replacement surgery, for spinal and cranial surgery Initial systems start clinical testing Q2/2015 Spinal surgery guidance Total hip replacement (THA) guidance Patient positioning for imaging and radiation Biopsy guidance
12
Industrial: Portable CMMs Portable Coordinate Measurement Systems Same functionality as conventional CMMs, but: – Rugged – shopfloor use – In-process, pro-active use – Large objects / assemblies – Hard-to-reach features
