People today are limited to a mouse and keyboard when using a computer There are little to no alternatives out in the market at this moment Natural human communication involves speech and body language, very little of which we use to interact with computers
3
Our solution can be the new “medium” between the user and the computer ● Wearable technologies have been creating new ways to interact with computers. The mouse and keyboard haven't changed for over 50 years. It’s time to update them to the 21st century
4
Our original design included a 3D printed apparatus with a PlayStation Eye camera Emilio : Hardware Design Tyler : Windows Integration (Voice and cursor) David : Open Source and UI development
5
Within 24 hours, we created a new frame to hold our camera and implemented the open source software with our software to allow eye tracking and voice control with the operating system With more time, we could have improved the voice recognition, hardware, and user interface
6
Our product is marketed towards anyone who uses a computer or has a disability preventing them from using the mouse and keyboard Open to developers, this technology will expand farther and faster Looking into the future, this technology has the potential to control machinery, vehicles, and other equipment
7
Our product is simple, effective and most importantly cheap to produce. Our prototype took approximately $50 to make. That means the consumer cost will be considerably less than some of the similar technologies that exist today Initially we imagine that our product will be sold primarily online with the potential to move to retail later on
