Project Update Aim & Objectives Aim: Work with residential services for adults with ID to advise and support the enhancement of structures and processes to improve the delivery of quality and safe person-centred outcomes and services. Objectives: 1. Work with services on HIQA self-assessments and QIPs to address National Standards. 2. Support / advise services on how to address issues identified. 3. Direct services towards the relevant and specific supports. 4. Support SCD to sustain and spread improvements beyond project, share learning. Project Team jointly resourced from QID and SCD

Project Update – Phase 1A Preliminary Visits March 2015 - June 2015 - Preliminary Service Visits HSE residential services for adults with ID: 148 units, 1,054 HIQA beds Engaged with staff and observed structures / practices Shared information about the Project Discussed / identified priority areas for improvement Shared tools and resources Completed service reports Flagged operational issues, where observed, to managers/CHOs Validated data.
