Ten Things To Say To Our Children From the Scriptures

To our Children 1.“We DO have the right to tell you what to do.” Philemon 1:8-9; Eph. 6:1-3.

To our Children 2.“Let me (us) have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my (our) hearts in the Lord” (Phile. 1:20). 3 John 1:4; Proverbs 23:24-25.

To our Children 3.“We have confidence in your obedience” (Philemon 1:21), or in some cases, “we are confident of better things concerning you” (Hebrews 6:9). Gal. 4:19-20.

To our Children 4.“Shall I (we) come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?” (1 Cor. 4:21). 2 Cor. 10:1-2.

To our Children 5.“We’re doing this for your own good.” 2 Cor. 12:19.

To our Children 6.“Always do the right thing, even when we’re not around.” Phil. 2:12. “The eyes of the LORD are in every place” (Prov. 15:3).

And one more for good measure “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy” (1 Thess. 2:19-20).
