Poultry Chickens are classified as layers or broilers –Broilers: young chickens grown for their meat –Layers: chickens developed to produce huge numbers of eggs Bantam: another class of chickens –Miniature versions of standard breeds –Bantams are used primarily for show

Horses Clydesdale –From Scotland –18 hands (6 feet) tall –Weigh as much as a Volkswagon Beetle –There feet are the size of a dinner plate –Bred to work in the coal fields
