Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries study 2003 Six GM crops are approved for food use in Japan: soybeans, maize, potatoes, rapeseed, cotton, and sugar beet. The study was “conducted among the subscribers of an Internet provider who were asked to state the degree to which they agreed or disagreed with statements concerning GM foods. Six hundred responses were received. “
