Thursday, October 15 th  Reminders  Today is the last day you can retake your atomic structure tests  You can still register for College in the High School – go to www.everettcc.edu/CHS www.everettcc.edu/CHS  Take out your “ionic compound practice 3” and your yellow sheet – add this as your next entry

2. Bond Types Lab  For each substance you will fill in the grid  Add 3 rows: water, sports drink, ethanol  N/A is an option!  For SOLIDS, use the battery/light set-up  For SOLUTIONS use the conductivity probes  If the reading is less than 100, it is NOT conducting  When you’re done, come back into class, grab a flow chart from on top of the projector, and work on the analysis

3. Quiz tomorrow  Repeat info from last week’s quiz  Identifying a substance based on the color flame it produces  Bond types  Properties of bond types  Classifying substances (e.g. metal + nonmetal must be ionic)
