What is environmental science? Environmental science is a mulitdisciplinary academic field that integrates physical, biological and information sciences to the study of the environment, and the solution of environmental problems.

What constitutes an environment? Biotic describes a living or once living component of a community; for example organisms, such as plants and animals. Biotic means living organisms.
