3. MICKELSEN Robert, was born in 1951 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Robert's formal education ended after one year of college. He was trained as a professional glassmaker and two years in the mid-seventies he began to exhibit his own proposals for craft markets throughout the decade. In 1987 he teamed up with Paul Stankardem, who opened his eyes and picked up the possibilities of his beautiful works of glass. In 1989 he ceased to go round craft shows and began selling his work exclusively through galleries. Since then, his career picked up amazingly. He began exhibiting his work in the best galleries of the world and participate in dozens of major exhibitions a year. Přeložil: franc29@seznam.cz
