Geographic orientation for African countries with Human Immunodeficiency Virus Paul R. Earl Facultad de Ciencias Biológicas Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León San Nicolás, 66451 NL, Mexico Paul R. Earl
2
This world retrovirus epidemic began before 1980 but can be well considered as starting in earnest in 1990, and it is reaching levels of prevalence in Africa like 39 % of the population of Zambia. The cause of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
3
The purpose of this lecture is to supply a brief geographic orientation for 42/44 subSahara countries so that their situations can be better appreciated. Comoros and also Mauritius, adding to 44, are islands in the southern Indian ocean with very low HIV percents.
4
Life expectancy or longevity depends on having adequate food, shelter, clothing and disease protection over decades. Some of these central & southern African countries are starving, and ones like Ethiopia have an endless history of periodic starvation. Invasions of other diseases like tuberculosis occur as well as entrenched and serious tropical diseases like malaria.
5
CONDOMS STOP AIDS. Then the remedy is sex education and the promotion of subsidized condoms, as well as their ample distribution throughout all rural areas as well as in the cities.
