The study conducted in 2010 identified a range of potential options for the creation of an International Traveller Scheme. All participants agreed on a similar approach suggesting a common enrolment process. End of 2011 the Recommended practice was endorsed by participating Governments and the IATA Governance. In June 2012 the recommended practice covering Scope, Purpose, Definition and Data Fields was published.
