15 Adaptations and Survival Picture of the Adaptation Organism Describe the organism’s Environment Describe the Adaptation (structure/behavior) Is this structure INTERNAL or EXTERNAL? How does this adaptation enhance survival of the organism? FLOWER Flowers grow in fields and areas that are open. There is usually good rainfall in these areas. Bright Coloration (Structural) -Flowers have bright coloration that attracts bees. This is an external feature. The coloration of flowers attracts bees and sends signals to bees that there is pollen present. The bees are attracted to the flower and collect the pollen. When they land on other plants they pollinate those plants allowing the plant to reproduce.
