5. The answer should first restate the question
To restate the question we use the same words in the question to form a sentence.
Example: How did Jackie Robinson demonstrate the trait of perseverance?
Jackie Robinson demonstrated
the trait of perseverance by…

6. Answer After restating the question, you then add your answer.
Jackie Robinson demonstrated the trait of perseverance by not quitting the baseball team despite the discrimination he faced.

7. Cite evidence from the text that supports your answer.
Write a SENTENCE (quote) from the story that supports your answer.
You MUST put quotation marks around the citation because you are borrowing words from the author that are not your own.
