NEW INITIATIVE… One of the main components of this programs success is the POSTING/RESUME TRANSLATION TEAM. The Troops to Energy Jobs translation team is made up of: Members of National Grid’s Veteran Affinity Group, Members of the Operating Areas and Human Resources department & Members of the local DOL “One Stop” offices This mix of military and civilian experience will prove essential to effectively translating the skills, requirements and qualifications of National Grids open positions and the skill sets of the interested veteran candidates.

GOALS OF TEAM…. The main goal of this team will be: translate the qualifications and requirements of National Grids selected positions and create a library of those postings. use the information provided to establish some criteria for individuals that can be put into a template for reviewing military resumes as we seek to recruit qualified military veterans. Regular team reviews to identify gaps and make recommendations for addressing those gaps and developing a skills gap analysis for each key job category.
