1.What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? The United States has the largest column. Because the U.S. provides so many services to its population, it has a very high GDP. 2.What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? Holy See has a GDP of zero. This is most likely because it is a very small country next to Italy, which must provide services to them. 3.Look at the 5 th and 6 th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question. Both the 4 th and 5 th countries, Chad and the Bahamas, are both undeveloped. This might be because Cad is a poorer country, and the Bahamas have a very small population. 4.Look at the 7 th and 8 th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question. The 7 th and 8 th countries, Haiti and Zimbabwe are both developing, and to get to the top half of the ranks need to have a bigger population so more services are used. 5.Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. To me, Brazil stands out because since it is a large, developed country with a big population, it has a very small GDP.

1.What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? The United States has the highest GDP per capita because it provides many services to its population, which means a higher income per capita. 2.What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? Holy See has the lowest GDP per capita because it has a GDP of zero, nobody that is a citizen of the very small country get any income from the GDP. 3.Look at the 5 th and 6 th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question. The 5 th and 6 th ranked countries are Chad and Haiti. These countries are probably ranked so because Haiti is a very small, poor country, and Chad is just the same. 4.Look at the 7 th and 8 th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question. Somalia and Zimbabwe are the 7 th and 8 th ranked countries. To get to the top half of the rankings, both of these countries need to provide more services to their citizens, such as public schools. 5.Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. To me, The Bahamas stands out on the graph. I think this because even though this country is just a small series of islands, it has the third highest GDP per capita in this chart

1.What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? The Bahamas have the largest oil consumption. This may be because they need lots of oil to run their hotels, such as Atlantis on Paradise Island, as well as heating things, such as pools. 2.What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? The country with the lowest oil consumption is Holy See. I think this country has the lowest amount because it is a very small country and most likely uses goods made in Italy, since they are close together. 3.Look at the 5 th and 6 th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question. Haiti and Somalia are the 4 th and 5 th rakned countries. This is because these countries don’t have many things that need oil to run. Both are undeveloped. 4.Look at the 7 th and 8 th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question. Chad and Brazil are the 7 th and 8 th ranked countries. This might be because both countries don’t have a very large population, meaning they don’t need to use as much oil. Both countries are developing. 5.Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. To me, France stands out in this chart because it has very low oil consumption. France is a developed country, and needs oil to run its cities.
