Sharing Swami's Love Phyllis Krystal Narrates that Swami prompted her from the inner voice “Send love to them(Hijackers)” “I then remembered Baba’s room when we were at Dharmakshetra, [Baba’s residence in Mumbai] So, instantly I visualized it again, and really concentrated on that room and started to say in my very excited English accent, ‘Baba! Baba! Baba! Please help!’ “And the next moment the most astonishing thing came into my mind. It was as if His voice was clearly heard. He said, ‘Send love to them.’

Sharing Swami's Love : How do we inculcate ? Love in Action – Serve All Smile and be friendly Make a donation. Donate something you don’t use Redirect gifts to Charitable organizations Stop to help when someone is in need Teach: take the time to teach someone a skill you know Help people in grief by doing their chores Lend your ear to a heart that grieves Inspiring and Motivating people to Stay focused in their goals Recognition in Public Just be There, When someone you know is in need Being Patient with people who have difficulty in understanding

Positive Vibrations Hermits living in the forests had a Divine aura them which radiated positive vibrations of Love. When wild animals came near these saintlike people they felt those vibrations, and as a result became gentle or sathwic and simply moved away.

Positivity- How do we inculcate ? 1. Silence is better than speaking Meaningless words Being Silent does not mean carrying a serious appearance It rejuvenates our body as we retain lot of energy One can hear Swami's voice during silence People who are silent are considered Wise by the society 2. Chanting the Name of God Reminds us that we are embodiments of divine It occupies our mind and does not let other thoughts to enter One can hear Swami's voice during silence People who are silent are considered Wise by the society Typical methods used for generating positive thinking: Yoga, Creative writing, Reading Sacred texts

Strengthening our Mind (through a routine spiritual practice) Swami Says ”The Vedas, Ithihasas, Puranas and Upanishads are great repositories of knowledge. But people become weak because they do not follow the sacred texts” “You are not aware of the potentialities of the Mind. The Mind is the cause of all our sorrows and joys. The powers of the Mind are indescribable. In one moment, it can be a total blank. In the very next, it can blossom enormously. The Mind is the cause of both good and bad.”

Mental Strength - How do we inculcate ? From Silicon Valley to Wall Street, mindfulness and meditation is the newest secret to success. Business leaders practice it to fit the goal-oriented culture of their lives Meditation Benefits of Meditation: Increases Concentration in the brain Improves vigilance and decreases sleep need Improves information processing and decision-making Reduces the experience of pain better than morphine

Selfless Love – Not expecting anything in return When you do something, it is not unnatural to expect a return. This return is called Phalam or fruit. Karma means action and Karmaphalam means the fruit of the action. Man wants the Karmaphalam, Nothing wrong in that. He also has the other alternative of not wanting anything. Relinquishing the fruit of action is called Karmaphala Tyagam.

Selflessness Conquers Pride: It is not acting out of competition or desire to prove ourself to others. Selflessness motivates to do the right thing and help others. Selflessness Expands our Mind: Selflessness enables us to get joy from the achievements of others; it enables us to get joy from serving others. True Friendship: Real love and friendship must involve a forgetting of self and a willingness to put others first. Selflessness is Attractive: It is ironical that when we work for praise and outer recognition it proves fleeting and elusive. But, if we are really selfless, our sympathetic actions will definitely be appreciated by others
