Question: Why did Jack and Jill fall down the hill? Step 1: What was the root of the boy and girl becoming injured? Step 2 & 3: The text states “Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water.” Step 4: Jack and Jill had to do their chores before playing, which led to the accident.
