FEMA FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) It is a government agency that deals with preparation and the after math of natural disasters.

Other Plans To work alongside with FEMA individual states do tend to have response plans of their own.

Tracking FEMA always has tracking machines going so they know first hand when a hurricane is going to hit.

Response Plan Protocols Save lives and protect the people. Ensure security of the homeland. Protect property. Facilitate recovery of individuals. Conduct law enforcement investigations to resolve the incident.

Preparation One of the jobs that FEMA has to take care of is preparing an area before a hurricane hits This includes: Finding an evacuation location. Issuing an evacuation alert Making sure the people who decide to stay are taking the proper precautions.

Recovery FEMA also has the job of dealing with the after math of the hurricane. This includes: Assessing the damage to the area Coming up with a recovery plan on how to restore the area Coming up with funding for the recovery
