Everglades has different landforms The Saw Palmetto palm tree that covers most of the everglades has sharp thorns that can cut you if you are not careful Some landforms in the Everglades are swamps marshes and wetlands The Pine Forest is the highest place in the Everglades

People lived, explored, and visit the Everglades. The Tequesta and Colusa Indians were the first settlers in the Everglades. The Spanish explorers came looking for gold. People now visit the Everglades but nobody lives there.

Everglades has Saw grass marshes, bays, and rivers. Water leaving Lake Okeeroobe in the wet season forms the everglades. Saw grass marshes are possible to walk across even in the wet season. Florida Bay makes up one third of the Everglades.

The Everglades has lots of limestone The Pinelands have a hard rocky ground made up of limestone. Limestone is at the bottom of the Everglades River. The limestone is made up of shells, mud, and sand.
