Distribute the “Spiritual Commitment Assessment” and tell them this is for them to take home, it is a personal assessment test. The Test measures 6 aspects for commitment: Being faithful to God Living the Word of God Prayers Relations with Others Witness to the World Serve others and Show love The class will be divided to 3 groups where each group will take a situation from Daniel and apply to the situation the 6 aspects of Commitment, to see how he had victory in his Battles because of His Commitment.

Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah presented a real example for people who witnessed to God outside their land by their faithfulness to God and compliance, and they made the greatest kings at that time praise Our Lord and ordered all dominion of their kingdom to tremble and fear before Our Lord. Each group of 3 groups will discuss one situation from the Book of Daniel; Daniel Chapter 1, Chapter 2 (minimize the dream and its interpretation) & Daniel Chapter 6

Ch. 1 – He put in his heart, that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies (V.8) In spite they were just slaves they committed to God’s law and insisted to do so. Ch. 2 - But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets (V.28) He did not give the credit to himself Ch. 6 - but they could find no charge or fault, because he [was] faithful (V.4)

Ch. 1 - Not to defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies (V.8) Ch. 2 - Daniel answered and said: "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. ( V. 20, 21) Referring to stories from The Bible Ch. 6 - We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find [it] against him concerning the law of his God (V.5)

Ch. 1 - Their features appeared better after ten days Implicitly because of their prayers that was heard (V.15) Ch. 2 - Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions, that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret (V.17, 18) Ch. 6 - Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days (V.10)

Ch.1 - Thus the steward took away their portion of delicacies and the wine that they were to drink, and gave them vegetables (V.16) Ch.2 - So Daniel went in and asked the king to give him time, that he might tell the king the interpretation. (V.16) Ch.6 - And the king, when he heard [these] words, was greatly displeased with himself, and set [his] heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him. (V.14)

Ch.1 - among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah (V.19) Ch.2 - The king answered Daniel, and said, "Truly your God [is] the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret (V.47) Ch.6 - Then King Darius wrote: To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you. I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom [men must] tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He [is] the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom [is the one] which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion [shall endure] to the end. He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. ( V. 25 - 27)

Ch.1 – They were thoughtful towards the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had set over them(V.12, 13) Ch.2 - Also Daniel petitioned the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego over the affairs of the province of Babylon; but Daniel [sat] in the gate of the king (V.49) Ch.6 - Then Daniel said to the king, "O king, live forever!. (V.21)
