Bergen is the capital of the Fjords, the most touristic city of Norway. The University is in downtown Bergen. See: http://www.uib.no/info/english/ Bergen has direct flights to/from: Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Aberdeen, Oslo, Stansted, …. There is ample accomodation and a wide price range of hotels (except the low price cathegory). Nevertheless, some low budget accomodation can be found (1 EUR ~ 8 NOK) : YMCA 170 NOK (19 rooms) Marken Gjestehus 340 NOK (21 rooms) Crowded House 390/490 NOK (33 rooms)... http://www.bergen-guide.com/accommodation.htm

12 We estimate the conference fee to be 450 - 500 Euro This includes lunch (cold plate, warm lunch is not usual in Norway) in one (or two) nearby hotels and/or in the canteen of the Bergen University College. Furthermore coffee and snacks in the breaks, proceedings, and banquet. We will be able to support 15-20 young participants, or probably more. With our best regards Dieter Rohrich and Laszlo Csernai END
