The Great Pyramid was built in 2560 B.C. and is 481 feet tall. It took about 20 years to complete the Great Pyramid. The Great Pyramid’s base is about 570,000 square feet. DDid you know that the Eiffel Tower’s supports are oriented to be aligned with the four compass points? TThe final design called for 18,000 pieces of puddled iron and 2.5 million rivets. IIt took several hundred workers 2 years to make the framework and in March 1889, the tower was 10,000 feet tall. TThe Great Wall was ordered to be built by Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di in the third century B.C. 4400,000 people died during the wall’s construction and many of the workers are buried in the wall itself. The Gateway Arch TThe building of the Arch started in Feb. 12,1963 and ended on Oct. 28, 1965. TThe height of the arch is 630 feet along with the width. TThe arch also weights 43,000 pounds. TThe depth of the arch is 60 feet, or 720 inches. TThe cost for all the materials was $13,000,000. TThe amount of steps for emergencies is 1,071. TThe architect’s name is Eero Saarinen.
