2 Nobby’s Beach  Nobby’s Beach is frequently visited by hundreds of surfers each year.  Nobbys early name are Booby Island,Whibay, Hackings Island and Coal Island.  The Break wall was built on the 5 th of August 1818.  Nobbys Island was found by Captain James Cook.

3 Custom House  Where Customs House stands now there was a lumber yard in 1805-1808.  Customs House was built in 1879-1805.  The bricks and slate that help make Customs house was all imported from Europe.  Customs house was built on top of an old convict prison house.

4 General Post Office  The General post office built in 1903 in Barton street.  Building the General post Office cost over $80,000.
