2. The 1964 Civil Rights Act made racial discrimination in public places, such as theaters, restaurants and hotels, illegal.

3. Employers are required to provide equal employment opportunities. Projects involving federal funds could now be cut off if there was evidence of discriminated based on color, race or national origin.

4. The Voting Act of 1965 follow up after the 1964 Act outlawed literacy tests and poll taxes as a way of assessing whether anyone was fit or unfit to vote Increased African American voters

5. Age Discrimination in Employment act of 1970 Prohibited age discrimination in employment.
