32
Prophets of Baal Ahab calls his 400 prophets “Shall I go to fight or not?” “Go up, for the Lord will deliver it into the hands of the king” Jehoshaphat is not satisfied Where is a prophet of the Lord? the truth Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding. Psalm 119:160 The entirety of Your word is truth Psalm 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right John 17:17 "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth Do you want the truth? ALWAYS???

"And the LORD said, 'Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?' So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. "Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, and said, 'I will persuade him.'
36
1 Kings 22:19-23 a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets 22 "The LORD said to him, 'In what way?' So he said, 'I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' And the LORD said, 'You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.' "Therefore look! The LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has declared disaster against you."

Lessons Others may attempt to deceive As if telling the truth Who we believe is up to us We can reject what God tells us Make our choice (to go or to not) God’s prophecies are accurate and will be fulfilled Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. Deuteronomy 12:32 "Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it. Genesis 3:4 Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you. Open your ears and you can hear anything you want to hear.
