Ever Ever means at any time. We use it to ask people whether they have done something before. = = Have you worn a costume at any time in the past? e.g. Have you ever worn a costume? No, I’ve never worn a costume. (negative) Yes, I’ve worn a costume. (positive)

Ever You can answer with these words: No. of times Adverbs 1 once 2 twice 3three times 4four times e.g. Yes, I’ve worn a costume once. She has been to China three times.
