3. What is a Veteran?  A veteran is someone who has served in the military in the past or who is serving in the military today.

4. What is a Veteran?  Veterans fought in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf war.

5. What is Veteran's Day?  Veteran’s Day is a holiday celebrated at the anniversary of World War 1.

6. What is Veteran's Day?  Men and women from the armed forces who fought for freedom are known as veterans.

7. What is Veteran's Day?  Many of them sacrifice themselves for our country.

8. Branches of the Military  Army  Air Force  Coast Guard  Marine  Navy

9. The Army  The army will fight the force.  They can get anywhere by air, sea, or land.

10. The Army  They can survive the wild for three days.  They can overtake any obstacle no matter how hard it is.

11. The Army The army is strong as a bear And as agile as a football player

12. The Army The army is as mighty as a knight and as smart as a lion

13. The Air Force The Air Force provides three main things: 1.Visual support for air 2.Fire support for air and ground 3.Transportation for air and ground and their equipment " He Who Controls The Air Controls The War"

14. The Air Force " He Who Controls The Air Controls The War" Why the Air Force is Important The Air Force helps the Army and Navy with transportation The Air Force can hit targets out of range for the Army and Navy

15. Air Force They fly fast like a peregrine falcon. The air force is the eagle in the sky.

16. Air Force They fly high in the sky and risk their lives for others.

17. The Navy  The United States Navy is one of the armed forces of the U.S. military.

18. The Navy  The Navy uses ships and aircraft to protect the United States from attacks.

19. The Navy  There are two main groups: officers and enlisted members.

20. The Navy  Both men and women can be officers or enlisted members.

21. Metaphor for the Navy The Navy are the sharks in the sea.

22. The Marines The United States Marine Corps is a branch of the United States Armed Forces.

23. The Marines The Marine Corps specializes in amphibious warfare. Amphibious means able to work on land and in water and in the air.

24. The Marines The Marine Corps has been a component of the US Department of the Navy since 1834.

25. Marines  Marines are the hawk in the sky, the shark in the sea, and the lion on land

26. Marines  They are as deadly as the weapons they use

27. Marines  They are the ninja of the night, silently creeping around

28. The Coast Guard Is the armed force on the sea

29. The Coast Guard is the oldest organization in the federal government

30. The Coast Guard the protector of the sea like a lion in its jungle

31. Poem Thank you all Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marine, and Air Force members for keeping us safe and letting us have freedom.
