The Shakespearean Macbeth Macbeth is portrayed as a honest man who became corrupted. Macbeth is a coward who killed King Duncan in his sleep. He was a foolish man who was persuaded by his wife. When Macbeth was king he was a tyrant and a bad ruler. Macbeth pinned the murder to the guards.
