4 Why introduce a superior material? Motivated by 3 important market trends: Higher filling rates Need for increased PV-limits Conveying without lubrication No soap - Less or no water Cost reduction Environmental Concerns Increased use of PET containers

5 Where do we stand? Testing & verification stage near completion Approach of selected Champion Customers started ‘Soft introduction’ planned for May 2004 Full blown introduction Fall 2004

6 Features and benefits Enormous increase in speed performance PV increase of at least 50%! This means an existing conveyor can run 50% faster just by switching to PS

7 Features and benefits (2) Optimized for PET We concentrated on reducing friction for PET bottles Friction reduced by at least 10% All other containers same low friction as HP ™

8 Features and benefits (3) Significant reduction in wear rate Depending on application, up to 5:1 difference have been observed Bigger difference in high speeds
