16. I like to get rid of the fractions by multiplying both sides by the LCD. Then I get all the variables on one side and all the #’s without variables on the other side and divide by the # is front of the variable. Don’t forget to check your answer. Did you use your calculator?

48. I found the LCD to be 6, then multiplied both sides by the LCD to eliminate the fractions. Then I got all the variables on one side and all the #’s without variables on the other side and divided by the # in front of the vairable.

71. Let x = the # hrs. worked at 2 nd job. Total = Hourly ● Hours at + Hourly ● Hours at earnings wage 1 st job wage 2 nd job You must work 9 hours per week at the second job.
