Communication : Why do we communicate? How do we communicate What is communication? Who communicates? What effect does communication have on the individual ? Is there a need for communication and why? How is communication perceived?

Journal Questions Is communication a form of language and why? Does communication require a form of personal exchange and if so what type(s)? Why would communication be considered an essential building block? Can communication be either positive or negative and can it be considered one or both of these types? Is all communication able to yield growth and how is it able to achieve this development?

Journal Questions How does the music make you feel? Document what instruments you heard, what color did you represent them with and what shape! What story do you think the artist is expressing in your favorite Jazz piece? What words come to mind about the music heard and the drawing you created? Do you see any similarities between your drawings and other student drawings?

If you where going to describe your improv as a sound, what type of sound would it be and why did you choose that sound? Overall, how well do you think the audience understood your improvisational concept and why do you think you obtained that reaction?
