3. MITOSIS A cell divides by copying its DNA, then splitting nucleus & cytoplasm. Allows organisms to grow & repair. One division that creates 2 identical daughter cells.

4. MEIOSIS Produces the gametes (cells) used in reproduction. Two sets of divisions creating 4 daughter cells with half chromosomes.

5. BINARY FISSION A form of asexual reproduction because there is only one parent. Used by organisms like bacteria. Offspring are genetically identical to the parent.
