2 Tom Torlakson State Superintendent of Public Instruction 2 Purpose To provide information and to solicit input regarding a new approach to the identification of priorities and improvement activities for programs serving students with disabilities

3 Tom Torlakson State Superintendent of Public Instruction 3 Outcomes Participants will have –Reviewed the outline of a two year planning process –Received information about providing input into the 2010-11 SPP and APR –Received information about the SPDG and the new grant competition –Participated in discussions leading to the identification of revised priorities and improvement plans by reviewing multi-year data from: SPP/APR calculations SESR and VR monitoring findings Parent surveys and complaints data –Provided input about the overall direction and next steps in the improvement planning process
