Lets get to it! Find a solution for d, if 4d – 9 = 3 Do you see any problems? Remember we will have to use our inverse operations to get d by itself. Should we divide by 4 or add by 9 first? Add the 9 to both sides first. 4d – 9 + 9 = 3 + 9 4d = 12 Then finish solving for d by dividing both sides by 4: d = 3
