5. Purpose ► To create a digital library of topographic maps that will explore how historic changes between map editions can be meaningfully presented to the user.

7. Collection Guidelines ► Ideally, all editions of every USGS topographic map would exist digitally. ► For this project a few maps showing significant change between editions were selected.
