Human Overpopulation Definition: the population of an environment by humans exceeds the environment's carrying capacity.

Causes Main Causes of Human Overpopulation: – Medical Advances – Lack of education – Human Health

Causes Continued… Medical advances lead to… – Decrease in death rate: There are new medicines that make sicknesses that used to be fatal, able to be lived through. – Increase in birth rate: New medicine technology includes increase in fertility rates which lets women who couldn’t conceive before, conceive now.

Causes Continued…. Lack of education: Some people aren’t informed or aren’t aware that human overpopulation is a growing problem, so they don’t try to prevent it or do anything about it. Basic Human Health: The amount of basic needs (food, shelter, and water) has overall increased. The amount of food produced has grown in the past 100 years because of new technology. There are also more better constructed houses for people to live in. There is more clean water available for human consumption.
