Rate Calculation Every “counter” can earn two points each semester he/she is on aid. (Total points earned/total points possible)*1000= APR number Adjustments for varying situations (small squad sizes, s-a leaving for professional opportunity, transfers, etc.) Goal = 925 for year Most important = 925 for four-year rolling period Penalties Contemporaneous: four-year APR between 900 & 925 and have an 0/2. Penalty= loss of value of scholarship of person who went 0/2. Historical: four-year APR below 900. Occasion 1: public warning Occasion 2: loss of scholarships & practice time Occasion 3: loss of postseason eligibility Occasion 4: restricted membership (all of school’s programs ineligible for postseason competition)
