Recycling can divert waste from landfill and reduce the release of harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Learning about recycling will offer young people the opportunity to work as part of a team to plan, implement and maintain a coordinated recycling programme. Recycling will reduce the cost of rubbish collections.

At least a quarter of all its rubbish. It takes less energy to make products from recycled materials such as paper and cardboard than raw materials.
