The Ebola virus is an extremely contagious hemorrhagic fever leading to extreme internal and external bleeding caused by a virus from an unknown host species. Ebola Virus Disease

The symptoms of Ebola start between 2 days – 3 weeks after contact with the virus, and there are 2 stages of the symptoms of EVD. Symptoms

The first case of Ebola was identified in 1976 in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and between then and 2013 there have been 1716 cases reported. However the largest outbreak to date is the 2014 Ebola outbreak of West Africa. Cases of Ebola

Similar symptoms for other diseases must be ruled out before a plan of action can be brought up. There is no specific treatment for Ebola although Oral rehydration therapy and Intravenous fluids have been used. Treatment of the Disease

The virus continues to spread at a surprising rate even with the safety precautions being put in place to stop it. The Disease Spreads

Ebola Outbreak USA!!! The first case of EVD in America was that of Mr. Thomas Duncan. He is Being treated currently in the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. The hospital released a 6 word statement on Saturday saying only, ” Mr. Duncan is in critical condition.” He is deteriorating quickly, but luckily it is not thought to have spread to anyone else. He was visiting family in Dallas. Sadly Thomas Duncan died on Wednesday 8 th October. There is another case in Spain, from a nurse who treated Ebola !!! Nurse treating Thomas Duncan diagnosed with Ebola after coming in with a fever!!!!
