1 LETS GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER Have a Conversation/Write it down You are both 25 years old. You must make every effort to spend as much time together. – In class )If the class permits) – During lunch What job do you have? (research the starting salary and work day) What state do you live in? (research job opportunities in that state) Where do you live (apartment, condo, house)? Research cost per month in your city. Lights/water/groceries Who pays the bills (Lights/water/groceries/insurance)? How many cars do you have? What type? (research the cost) Who will cook dinner? Who is in charge of cleaning the house? Who is in charge of any house maintenance? Who does laundry? Do you and your partner have large parties/small parties/none? Will you have female or male friends? Talk about your idiosyncrasies.

2 And then there was three... Have a Conversation/Write it down What’s the baby ‘s gender and name? Who handles baby duty? Schedule? (different parent every night/split time during the school day) Who wakes up at night to feed the baby? If both of you what is the schedule? Set timers. Who takes/picks up the baby to daycare? (research the cost of daycare/formula/ diapers/clothes) Who takes off work to take the baby to the doctor? Must bring baby with you everywhere. Figure out a safe way to carry to baby with you everywhere, it must be able to breath and be visible. Must record you waking up at 3am at least once and doing something cute with the baby. (30 seconds) What you feel changing diaper, feeding, what you do to calm him or her down from crying, etc...

3 Slides 2-3 GENETIC MAKEUP OF THE CHILD 1.DETERMINE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF YOUR CHILD BASED ON PARENTS TRAITS. 1.FIND OUT: 1.PHYSICAL (EYE COLOR, COMPEXION, HAIR TYPE, HEIGHT, ETC...) 2.HEREDITARY DISEASES 3.PSYCHOLOGICAL MAKEUP BASED ON PARENTING STYLE 2.CREATE A CHART REPRESTING TO GENETICS OF EACH CHILD. YOU MAY USE A PUNNETTE SQUARE TO ASSIST. 3.WRITE UP A RATIONALE USING THE DATA TO PROVE THAT THE CHILD WILL MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE THESE CHARACTERISTICS

4 Slides 4 & 5: Biology Using your artistic abilities, computer based construction (MorphThing.com, etc... will need digital copy of baby picture) or any other creative means construct a visual of what your child will look like ( eye color, maximum height and hair color included)

5 Slides 6 & 7: Chemistry Write up a chemical makeup of the child based on the parent history ( possible genetic diseases)

6 Slides 8 & 9: Psychological Write up a psychological makeup of the child such as phobias, parental up bring (parents), beliefs, eating habits, etc...

7 Slides 10 & 11: Relationship What is a day-in-the-life of you and your partner? How do you and your partner handle disagreements? How romantic is your partner? How do you manage to have time for yourselves with a baby? Do you think you were a good match?

8 Slides 12 &13: Household Where do you live? What do you do for a living? How many hours do you work? How much do you make? What does your partner feel about this? How does it effect your time with your spouse and the baby? Who pays the bills? (Give details) Who is in charge of cleaning the house? ( No Maids) Who is in charge of any house maintenance? Who handles baby duty? Schedule? Who does laundry? Do you and your partner have large parties/small parties/none?

9 Slides 14 & 15: Household Talk about your experience with your egg. Video diaries
