6. Maintenance Inspect tool after each use Handle –Sand if necessary. Apply Linseed Oil –Check for cracks –Check that handle is straight. Not warped or twisted Head –Check for cracks, chips, burrs, etc. –Make sure head is secured to handle –Sharpen if necessary –Sharpen 4” from heel at 45°angle
