2 Lesson Learning Goal You will learn how using video taped ethical dilemmas can be effective in changing attitudes, in taking charge of one’s own direction in life, and in taking responsibility for one’s own conduct.

3 Learning Objectives You will be able to: Explain what an Ethical Dilemma is. Use Video Ethical Dilemmas to implement change. Discuss the four reasons why people act unethically.

5 Human Reaction Under Stress: The Fight or Flight Syndrome In a crisis we’ll react the way we’ve been trained! Stress effects how we think; how we behave; and how we communicate! Our body will experience over 200 changes.

10 Ethical Dilemma Simulation Training Techniques Create stress (exercise) Darken the room Play simulation (video, audio, reading) Turn-on the lights Participants have 30 seconds to complete the NIE Dilemma answer sheet (Pg. 164) NEVER practice incorrect procedures!
