Awe and Wonder Choose a number with any amount of digits. Multiply the number by 10. Subtract the first number from the second number. Add 9 to the answer. Cross out any digit except any zeros you may have. Tell me the remaining digits that you now have. The number that you crossed out was...

By this stage children know that 6 x 3 = 18 so 6 x 30 = 180 3 30 +

Again children will use their knowledge of times tables to calculate the remainder. 3 r2 30 +

15 Your task is to try and beat the teacher!
